ANAND AHUJA

specializes in commercial/business transactions, international business law and transactions, corporate law, real estate, licensing agreements, franchising and joint ventures law, internet and computer law, trademarks and copyrights, media and entertainment law, wills and trusts, FCC and communication law, and immigration. His expertise includes negotiation and drafting of contracts, joint ventures & technology transfers, government contracts and procurement law, preparation of bids and proposals etc. 

 

Mr. Ahuja is a U.S. citizen born in India. He is admitted to the states of New York, Connecticut, Virginia, United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and India.  Mr. Ahuja received his education and experience both in India and the United States.  Mr. Ahuja holds an LL.M. (International Business Law); an LL.M.  in Labor Laws; LL.B. (JD); M.B.A. [Personnel Management & Labor Welfare]; M.B.A. [Business Management]; a Diploma in German language; a Postgraduate Diploma in Gandhian Philosophy, besides his M.A. and B.A. (Honors) degrees.  

 

Mr. Ahuja works as a General Counsel for the Jalota Entertainment Inc., General Counsel for the American Life Inc., General Counsel for the OM Vedam Inc., and President of the PIO Chamber of Commerce and Industries Inc., etc.  Previously, he worked as an Attorney (Trademarks) at the United States Department of Commerce, Patent and Trademark Office, as an Of Counsel to Aitken Irvin Lewin Berlin Vrooman & Cohn, LLP, a Washington, D.C. based law firm specializing in the international business law, as a Consultant to M&M Consultants in Massachusetts, and as a General Counsel to Soft Computer Consultants in New York.  Mr. Ahuja works as an Adjunct Faculty at Baruch College [City University of New York], New York. He previously worked as an Adjunct Faculty and taught International Business at the USDA Graduate School, Washington, D.C. and at Howard University and has been on numerous other legal panels. BRUCE AITKEN

specializes in U.S. and foreign customs and international trade law and policy, arbitration, legislative and regulatory analysis, lobbying and coalition building.  He has extensive experience with U.S. trade cases, including Section 301 (market access), Section 337 (unfair trade practices), antidumping, countervailing duty, Section 201 (escape clause) and section 232 (national security) proceedings and related arbitration.  He also concentrates on antitrust shipping and transportation issues, and international transactions, focusing particularly on World Bank and other development agency projects.

 

Mr. Aitken was a trade advisor in the Clinton/Gore campaign with particular responsibility for Uruguay Round issues.  He serves as Chairman of the Democratic National Committee's Trade Task Force.  He also serves as Executive Director and Counsel of the Pro Trade Group, a coalition of 100 U.S. trade associations and multinationals, which he organized in 1986.  In 1992, Mr. Aitken was appointed as a U.S. member of the U.S. - Canada Free Trade Agreement Dispute Resolution Panel by President Bush and re-appointed by President Clinton in 1993.  In 1994, President Clinton appointed him as a member of the NAFTA Dispute Resolution Panel.  In 1995, he was appointed as a member of the World Trade Organization Dispute Resolution Panel in Geneva.  He also has served as President of the Maryland International Trade Association.  He is a former Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association's International Section and, since 1983, has served as Chair of its Customs and Trade Regulation Committee.  Since 1992, he has served as Vice Chair and Counsel of the Korea-America Friendship Society's Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

 

Mr. Aitken is a graduate of Fordham University (Economics, 1969), Columbia University Graduate School of Business (International Business, 1971) and the American University Law School (1976) where he won the national championship in the International Moot Court competition.  From 1973-4, he worked at the World Bank.  From 1989-92, Mr. Aitken served part-time as a Special Assistant Attorney General of the Government of Guam in connection with its successful participation in a Federal Maritime Commission case here in Washington.  Prior to co-founding the firm, Mr. Aitken was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney (1988-92) and Managing Partner at Busby, Rehm & Leonard (1977-88).  He began his career in the Baltimore firm of Constable, Alexander & Darcher (1976-7).

GERALD H. GREEN

is an attorney who has been specializing in residential real estate transactions and estate work for over 40 years, having handled thousands of real estate closings, refinances, short sales, foreclosures, etc. His expertise includes negotiating and drafting a variety of real estate contract and documents.

 

Mr. Green graduated from NYU School of Law in 1958. He was admitted to practice law in New York State the following year and thereafter to the United States Supreme Court. He held several community service assignments during the early years of his practice; he was the special counsel to the Honorable Anthony P. Savarese. Mr. Green has appeared on the radio speaking on the purchase and sale of real estate and has lectured at real estate seminars.

 

He presently represents individual homeowners who have made real estate investments in New York, Florida and Mexico as well as homeowners associations. Mr. Green’s professional activities and associations include membership to the Queens County Bar Association. He is counsel to the board of Directors of the Hillcrest HOA and Club Tortuga International of Amapuico, Mexico.
